Rental agreement
Example document for a fictional company, written for a portfolio demo. It is not legal advice and binds no one.
1. Parties and equipment
This agreement is between Crystal Ski Rental s.r.o., Demänovská dolina 72, 031 01 Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia ("the rental") and the customer named on the reservation ("you"). It covers the skis listed on the reservation, identified by their inventory codes at pickup, and their bindings.
2. Rental period
The rental runs from the first day to the last day of the reservation. You pick the skis up during the store's opening hours on the first day and return them by closing time on the last day.
Returning early does not reduce the price. Returning late is charged at the daily price of the skis for each day started.
3. Handover
At pickup we check the skis with you and note any existing damage. By taking the skis you confirm they were handed over in that condition.
We set the bindings for the height, weight, age and skill level you give us. Tell us the truth: bindings set for wrong details may not release when they should.
4. Your obligations
Use the skis with care, only on marked slopes and routes suited to them, and only yourself or the person they were set for.
Do not adjust the bindings yourself, lend the skis to anyone else, or take them outside Slovakia.
Keep the skis secured when you are not using them.
5. Damage, loss and theft
You are responsible for the skis from pickup until return. Normal wear is on us.
Damage beyond normal wear is charged at the cost of repair, up to the replacement value in our price list. A lost or stolen pair is charged at its replacement value.
Report a theft to the police and to the store the same day, and bring us the police report.
6. Safety and liability
Skiing is a sport with a risk of injury. We recommend wearing a helmet and having insurance that covers skiing.
The rental is liable for faults of the equipment it handed over. It is not liable for injuries caused by the way you ski, by conditions on the slopes, or by incorrect details you gave for the binding settings.
7. Final provisions
This agreement is governed by Slovak law. The terms and conditions apply to anything this agreement does not cover.
